General Information for Employers

How much does it cost to list a position?

This is a free service TLA offers for Texas libraries and librarians.

How much does it cost to be a registered employer with the TLA Placement and Career Center?

Conference registration is not required; but employers who are not preregistered, or who register onsite, must check in with a Placement and Career Center volunteer to access the system.

How many positions can I list?

Employers may list as few or as many positions as they like. Employers will need the Job Key # referenced on the confirmation in order to access the Job Seeker database as well as to change any of the registered positions.

Do I have to complete a separate job listing for each position?

Yes, a separate job listing form must be completed for each separate job.

How do I edit or delete a position once it has been entered and submitted?

Listings may be modified by using the Job key # for the specific position.

What should I do if things don’t appear to be working?

Please ask one of the Placement and Career center volunteers for assistance.

Can I post a job at conference?

Yes, you may continue posting jobs online here throughout the conference.

What do I do if I lose my Job Key #?

There will be volunteers at the registration counter in the Placement and Career Center to provide assistance.

When can I start viewing Job Seekers’ information?

Employers can access the Job Seeker database when conference begins, as long as they have posted a job opening with the Jobline/Placement and Career Center.

How can I contact someone that I’m interested in interviewing?

By emailing them directly using the link on their information page or using the automated Placement Center messaging system if the job seeker has indicated that they will be available to interview at conference. If they will not be at conference, it will be necessary to contact them directly. On the Job Seeker form, there is contact  information, as well as information about where they are staying while at conference.

Good luck in filling your position(s).
