Position: Continuing Resources Specialist (LIS IV)

Position Description: The Continuing Resources Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of subscribing, renewing, and canceling electronic and print continuing resources. Fulfillment of responsibilities will involve continuous correspondence with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This position reports to the Director for Collection Development and Delivery Services.

Duties include:
- Subscribe, renew, and cancel subscriptions to electronic and print continuing resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Work both independently and with Continuation Team members to resolve complex access and payment issues involving continuing resources in all formats
- Introduce vendor contracts and license agreements into the review and authorization process and ensure resulting documentation is preserved in the online repository
- Maintain up-to-date records for library resources in designated library systems
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree and one year of applicable experience
Required Experience: Required Skills:
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Working knowledge of personal computers and online systems, in particular, the MS Office Suite
- Willing to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

Preferred :
- Experience with library acquisitions or similar procurement/inventory related duties
- Experience with Alma, Sierra, or similar integrated library system
- Experience with statistics or data analysis
- Experience with developing online documentation for policies and processes
