Position Description: A wide range of student- and faculty-centered services are the cornerstone of the Libraries’ integral role in the University of North Texas community. As the most-used service on campus and an essential component of education and research at the University of North Texas, the Libraries offer access to more than 6 million items (print and digital) along with expert personnel to assist patrons in achieving their academic and scholarly goals. The Access Services Department promotes and provides access to the collections of the UNT Libraries. The Document Delivery Manager manages the Document Delivery and Distance Learning services, which provide online and physical delivery of library material to students and faculty on and off-campus. The position responsibilities include processing requests for library material, training full-time staff, and student assistants in delivery procedures and scanning processes, and communicating with staff and patrons to fill requests and resolve issues. The person in this position creates and manages workflows and projects related to managed services. This position requires in-depth knowledge of interlibrary loan system (ILLiad), integrated library system (Sierra), electronic databases, and copyright guidelines.

Required Experience: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and one year of progressively responsible library experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience working in a public service setting in a library
Extensive customer service experience
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to handle difficult patron situations
Problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
Experience using Sierra
Experience using ILLiad
